Date of Birth: January 7, 1939
Description: Al Evason was a brilliant outfielder with Dauphin Redbirds 1956 to 1963 where they won titles in Northern League in 1956, Man-Sask League in 1958, and Manitoba Senior Baseball League in 1961. In 1961 he was a MSBL all star left fielder and had a .438 batting average. He was the top hitter with Bowsman Maroons in 1963 and with Thompson Reds 1968 – 1973. He was the leading hitter with Flin Flon Johnny’s Cardinals 1964 – 1966. Evason retired from competitive play in 1973 and was known as a hustler and a strong defensive outfielder.
