Al Robertson

Al Robertson was a member of several teams inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame and of one team inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame. In 2000 he was inducted into our Hall of Fame as an individual, in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments as a player, coach, and administrator. In 2009 he was inducted along with his wife Lorna and sons Jeff and Randy as a family in our special category. The Robertsons were a main reason Hamiota was recognized as the Baseball Capital of Manitoba. His work on behalf of our Hall of Fame is now recognized in this Honourary Life Membership. Al was an original director of the Hall of Fame, and he remained a director until 2022.He was a regular contributor of nominations. He and his wife Lorna worked annually at our banquet ticket desk. Al was also an important member of the Selection Committee. His knowledge of contributions made to baseball by people from all over the province were crucial to this Committee’s credibility.
