Jim White

Jim White was born on July 28, 1956. Growing up in the mid 1970s, White was a a dominant player with the Neepawa teams in intermediate ball. He became one of the top players when the Neepawa Cubs joined the Manitoba Senior Baseball League in 1974, which subsequently became the Neepawa Farmers. White was a consistent .300 hitter who was within the top ten in League hitting eight different times. Throughout his 17 years in the MSBL, White was named to 13 all-star teams. He played wherever he was needed over the years, but was known primarily as a unique left-handed catcher. He was the main catcher on the Neepawa Farmers teams of 1993-1997, who were subsequently inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. After his time playing, White coached the Neepawa Cubs, Neepawa Farmers, and Neepawa Senior hockey. White currently resides in Neepawa, Manitoba.
