Clark Andres

Clark Andres was born on May 31, 1980. He grew up in Roblin district, Manitoba, where he became an exceptional baseball player. He was known as a strong right-handed pitcher and outstanding left-handed hitter. In 1995, Andres led the Parkland AAA Bantams to a provincial championship and a national tournament. He played in the Manitoba Junior Baseball League with the Winnipeg South Chiefs and Pembina Valley Orioles, going on to attend college from 2000-2002 in North Dakota with Bottineau State and Mayville State. During his college career, Andres was named to three All-Conference teams and two All-American teams. In 2002, Andres was chosen by the Canadian Baseball Network for the All-Canadian College team. Andres then went on to play in the Manitoba Senior league with the Brandon Cloverleafs and the Birtle Blue Jays for seven years. He was a member of the Birtle team inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013. Andres was a six-time MSBL All Star with an impressive career batting average of .402 and a career ERA of 2.94. While unfortunate back injuries shortened Andres' career, at the time of induction, he was still involved in the baseball community as a coach to minor and high school teams.
